rhubarb recipe

Hey, Ladies!
It's been a while since anyone wrote on here...we've all been busy! I don't want to lose this forum altogether, though..
Dad and I are at Pauleys at the moment, and Pete had picked some rhubarb. I was elected to do something with it, so here is the absolutely delicious recipe we found:
1 C flour
3/4 C uncooked oatmeal
1/2 C br. sugar
1/2 C shortening
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp cinnamon
4 C diced or sliced rhubarb, fresh
1/2 C wh. sugar
1 C water
2 Tbs cornstarch
Mix flour, oatmeal, br. sugar, shortening and cinnamon until crumbly. Pat 1/2 of mix into a greased 9x9 pan. Add rhubarb. Combine white sugar, water, vanilla and cornstarch and cook until clearish, about 5-7 minutes. Pour over rhubarb. Add remaining crumbs and cook at 350 for 1 hr. DELICIOUS!
